We are immensely proud to announce that Jason Harborow, CEO of Global13, has been appointed as the Independent Chair of the Event Steering Group for the inaugural World Boxing Championships 2025, set to take place at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool from 4th to 14th September 2025.
Jason Harborow brings a wealth of experience to this prestigious role. With a distinguished 36-year career, he has held senior leadership positions across major sports, cultural, entertainment, tourism, education, and technology organizations worldwide. Notably, Jason served as the Operations Director for the 2000 Rugby League World Cup and has been instrumental in bidding for, winning, and delivering numerous international events, including World Cups in various sports and the Commonwealth Games.
As the founder and Chief Executive of Global13, Jason has led the company in delivering innovative strategies and project solutions aligned with clients’ visions and ambitions. His leadership has been recognized with the accolade of Most Influential Global Sport & Entertainment Business Consultancy CEO of the Year 2023.
In his new role as Independent Chair, Jason will lead a nine-person Steering Group responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the World Boxing Championships 2025. The group’s objectives include creating a world-class competition environment for participants and ensuring the event positively impacts local communities in Liverpool and Merseyside.
