Global 13 is thrilled to recognize the outstanding success of the 2025 World Boxing Championships in Liverpool. It was an event for which our CEO Jason Harborow served as Independent Chair of the Steering Group. The tournament not only raised the bar for global boxing, but demonstrated what world-class organisation, passion, and leadership can achieve.

Here are just a few standout facts from the Championships that underline how impactful it was:
-
Over 540 boxers from 68 nations competed in Liverpool, making these Championships one of the largest unified men’s & women’s boxing tournaments ever held under the new World Boxing federation.
-
The event featured 17 medallists from the Paris 2024 Olympics amongst the field, bringing high calibre competition and global attention.
-
It was the first edition of the World Boxing Championships organised by World Boxing (the new governing body) under a unified structure for both men’s and women’s divisions.
As Chair of the Steering Group, Jason Harborow helped steer this huge undertaking, coordinating teams, ensuring governance, and bringing in partners. At Global 13, we couldn’t be prouder to have been part of supporting an event that has already set new benchmarks for the sport.
Here’s to building on this momentum. If this is what world-class looks like now, imagine what’s next.
